Ten Toes Down Album Review

Welcome to another 6 Wheelz album review and this time I'm reviewing Ten Toes Down by Sneek Rothestein. Before we get into this- I'ma let you know about the man. Bertran G. Lucas (born October 9, 1976), also known as SNEEK ROTHSTEIN "SNEEK" or Doc-do-wrong of the DRODIANS is the next best thing happening in urban music. Born and raised in Lynwood, California SNEEK was exposed to gangs, violence and drugs at a young age. After moving out of the gang and drug infested city of Lynwood, California SNEEK'S parent's decided there sons needed a better life. 1994 after barely graduating from high school SNEEK was accepted into Langston University in Langston, Oklahoma. No sooner than he arrived he was expelled for gun possession and conspiracy to distribute drugs, after returning back to Cerritos, California SNEEK seriously began writing and perfecting his craft. In 2001 with money saved up from military service SNEEK and his older brother purchased studio equipment and thus G.C. Records was born. After a chance meeting with the program director at 100.3 the beat the group name "The Heatroxxx" was adapted. Nov 2004 after contemplating a life or death decisions SNEEK donated a kidney to his older brother and by the grace of GOD, SNEEK survived and adapted the"Gift of life theory". In 2009 SNEEK ROTHSTEIN and IRIE 2012 formed the two man crew known as CALI'DRO with input from BLACK C of the bay area group RBL Posse. In 2011 KILLAHRONH and NICK FUREE (OPTIMUZ RHYME) came into the fold completing the DRODIANS. Now that you know about the man, let's get into Ten Toes Down.

First off I love the album cover with ten shoes, it's very creative. I'm just a nerd at that stuff. First track is Ten Toes Down and it took me a while to catch on to the flow. My favorite line was campaigning for votes and it's a nice authentic hook. It's Life has a killer beat and he's speaking truth. “We the owners of the buildings, ya'll should rent it out.” Lock Jaw Shit was good and my favorite line was: “Water boiling while you're at the bottom of the pot.” I like the DJ intro to keep the album moving. Try'na Make It was good. Favorite line was- “Stay Dressed up like going on a date”. My only criticism is with a title like "Try'na Make It", I was expecting it to be about Sneek's personal struggle trying to make it in the industry. Artists, don't be afraid to be an open book.

On to Hardcore, the hook is dope with some nice lyrics. Blessed Bars was good and my favorite line was “Stop all the hating and you might receive your blessing” and that's real life. On Killing Zone-Pause is talking that real stuff and my favorite lines from Sneek were “I got flow, no period.” “Sell you a dream and charge you to see it- that's pay-per-view.” 6 Minutes is just the Drodians just going in. “We outta here baby like you didn't give respek talking to Baby.” Crack a Hydrant- “dope like Scarface's nose”. Salute to the whole Drodian camp. I can definitely relate to the Rapper VS Beat Maker skit. The Same have some cool bars. The second verse on the Uprising is definitely worth a second listen. “Jim Crow is still alive- separation of people by wealth.”

Overall I give the project a 8 out of ten. Killer production all the way through mostly by Too Nasty also Doc DoWrong and Kickbeats matched with nice lyrics by Sneek Rothestein. My favorite track is between the Uprising and Killing Zone. My favorite line was the true Jim Crow statement. Now check the project out for yourself here: https://www.everythingdrodian.com/ Leave comments and thoughts down below and that has been another 6 Wheelz review, peace: I'm about to have a second listen!
